Hello everyone! This is Madelyn. I'm really sorry that I haven't posted anything in so long. Joshua hasn't been sending us much lately, but he's sent a few short letters. Here's the one from August 15:Hey everyone!!
How's everything going? Everything here is going great! To start
off...transfer news: I'm staying! Not really a big surprise. My
companion Elder Clyde is dying officially tomorrow morning at six! My
new companion is Elder Anderson...it's super funny because Elder
Anderson and Elder Clyde were companions that first night when I
stayed with them my first night in the mission...now I will have been
companions with both of them! Elder Anderson is also from
California...he's only here for two more transfers so it's really
possible that I will kill him too! That would be crazy, killing all
three of my first companions :)
Among other news, the mission is starting a huge change this transfer!
They're officially separating the English and Spanish missionaries
completely! We're doing it so we can focus more on the Hispanic
community because it's growing so quickly here...so now we're going to
have two Spanish only zones and 3 English zones. It's going to be
awesome! Hopefully we'll be speaking more Spanish as a result :) But
It means TONS of work closing apartments, reorganizing lots zones and
all sorts of good stuff. I'll write more about it next week!
